A Jooki improves its functions with every new firmware. Once a new firmware is released, it's is available for your Jooki to download and install 'over the air'.
When your Jooki is (being) powered on at that time, the Jooki app will mark in red that your Jooki is "out of date".
The downloading of a firmware, happens automatically, within the first 45 mins of Jooki powered on. It also happens in "the background". The only thing you see when Jooki is downloading the new firmware is that the Jooki lights go blue. All the other operations remain available, and the music keeps playing.
Once the download is done, you can read in "device information" in Jooki app, that a new firmware is available. You can then power off Jooki, because the actual firmware update happens on the next power-on of Jooki. It's no problem if you (or a low battery) turned Jooki off during a download. Jooki will retry full download, upon the next power on.
If your Jooki won't update after 45 mins, or when Jooki says "update failed", something is wrong. Please contact us via Support@jooki.rocks
